Madeline
Zausner of Port Washington Tennis Academy Passes Away
Madeline Zausner died on Oct.17 of non-Hodgkins lymphoma at
the age of 67. She was a resident of Port Washington for almost 40 years and
the most familiar face at the
Madeline was known for her infectious smile and sense of humor that lit up the room for the thousands of people who came into contact with her at the PWTA.
She was the tournament director at hundreds of Eastern
Tennis Association tournaments for l8-and-under junior players. Madeline was
responsible for all purchasing and merchandising of the PWTA Pro Shop and
played a major role in all
She coordinated major financial support given by the PWTA
to Port's local nonprofit organizations that offer programs for children,
including Port Youth Activities, Children's Center,
Madeline is survived by her husband,
A memorial service will be held November 23rd. The family has requested that donations in
Madeline's memory be made out to~ "Lymphoma Foundation" and mailed to
Lymphoma Foundation,
